- No enamel removed — fully reversible
- Finished in a single appointment
- Sculpted by hand, shade-matched to your teeth
What it is
Composite bonding builds up a tooth with a tooth-coloured resin, sculpted by hand and cured in place. It closes small gaps, rebuilds chipped edges and reshapes uneven teeth — in one appointment, without removing enamel.
Who it is for
Patients with small, localised complaints: a chipped corner, a narrow gap, a slightly short tooth. If you want a full change of colour and shape across the whole smile, veneers are the better tool.
How the treatment runs
We match the shade, roughen the surface with a mild etch, then layer and sculpt the resin directly on the tooth. Each layer is cured with a light. Polishing takes the longest — that is what makes it look natural rather than plasticky.
Aftercare
Composite stains faster than porcelain, so coffee, tea and red wine will show over time. Expect to polish or refresh it every few years. Do not bite your nails with it.
Common questions
How long does bonding last?
Typically 4–8 years before it needs refreshing, depending on how you use it. It is a repairable material — we can polish or patch it rather than replace the whole thing.
Bonding or veneers?
Bonding is cheaper, faster and removes no enamel, but stains and chips more easily. Veneers cost more and are irreversible, but hold colour and shape far longer. For one or two small fixes, bonding. For a whole smile, veneers.
